The Right Remedy

Homeopathy for Injuries

The other night, while walking through the dark on my way to bed, I stubbed my three little toes on a piece of furniture. Most of the time when this happens, I would get that sharp, nervy pain that fades after a couple of minutes. But this time was different. Within minutes, my toes were bruised and swelling, and the nerve pain was shooting from my stubbed toes to the heal of my foot.

So—what now?

In the past, I would have reached for Tylenol or ibuprofen. Those would have helped numb the pain by masking the symptoms, but they wouldn’t have supported true healing. A much better option is to use a medicine that works with my body, stimulating its own natural ability to heal.

My first remedy choice, Hypericum perforatum, targeted the nerve pain, and it almost completely relieved it. The lingering soreness responded beautifully to a few doses of Arnica montana, and soon I was comfortable enough to sleep through most of the night.

By morning, the improvement was remarkable. The bruising and swelling were nearly gone and I was able to go about my day with only mild discomfort.

So grateful for this medicine!

I understand that Mandy Shepherd is a homeopathic lay-practitioner and health educational consultant.  Mandy is not a physician and the relationship between Mandy and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Mandy presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. In order to be treated or diagnosed, Mandy believes that the advice of a holistic physician is in order.
